Tournament Rules and Regulations 

Format of Tournament

1. League Stage:

• • Matches shall consist of one (1) set to twenty‑one (21) points. A golden point shall apply at 20–20, whereby the next rally determines the winner of the set.

2. Knockout Stage (Quarterfinals):

• • Matches shall consist of one (1) set to thirty (30) points. A golden point shall apply at 30–30, whereby the next rally determines the winner of the set.

3. Semi‑Finals and Finals:

• Matches shall consist of best of three (3) games to fifteen (15) points. Each games may be extended up to twenty‑one (21) points, which means at 14-14 the team scoring 2 points lead will win the game and extended till 21. at 20-20, a golden point shall apply at 21–21, whereby the next rally determines the winner of the game.

• Team winning two (2) games will be declare the winner of the match.

Scoring System

• The rally point system shall be used: a point is awarded on every rally, regardless of who served.The side winning a rally shall serve next, In doubles, service rotation must be maintained in accordance with BWF regulations.

Service Rules

• Service must be delivered below waist height and diagonally across the court. Players must adhere to standard BWF service regulations.

• In the tournament the service rule will not be supervised and relaxation will be given, however in case of complaint by the oponents, the umpire will supervise the servcie and take a call on the fault.

• Faults in service shall be declared by the umpire and are final.

Player Conduct

• Players must respect opponents, officials, and tournament staff at all times.

• Misconduct, delay of play, or violation of rules may result in penalties, including disqualification.

• The decision of the umpire shall be final and binding.

Clothing and Equipment

• Players must wear mandatory non‑marking badminton shoes. Barefoot play is strictly prohibited.

• Players should bring their own spots kits and rackets, organiser are not responsible for providing the equiments.

Player Injury

1. • In the event of a player injury during a match, the umpire may grant a maximum recovery period of thirty (10) minutes.

   • If the player is unable to resume play within the allotted time, the match shall be declared a forfeit in favor of the opponent. with the score recoreded where the play stops.

Walkover Rules

• A walkover occurs when a player or team is unable to commence or continue a scheduled match due to injury, illness, or other valid reasons.  A walkover will be awarded if a team failed to report on schedule time. Organisers will give a grace time of thirty (30) minutes.

General Provisions

• All matches shall be governed by Badminton World Federation (BWF) rules and guidelines, except where modified herein.

• The organizing committee reserves the right to interpret and enforce these regulations in the best interest of fair play.

• Any dispute not covered by these regulations shall be resolved by the tournament referee, whose decision shall be final.
